Great Brook Farm State Park is a 1,000 acre Massachusetts State Park. 1,000 acres anyone can explore year-round. Mountain biking, hiking, bring your own horse and hit the trails, go for a picnic, fly a kite, bring your kayak or canoe. The Duffy Family has been maintaining the dairy farm since 1987. Mark and Tamma Duffy, their three children Marlow, Chris and Blake have had the same Holstein Herd for 30 years. The milk from their 140 cow dairy goes to West Springfield, MA where it is turned into Cabot products such as sour cream and cottage cheese. The Duffy Family belongs to the Agri-Mark Cooperative which owns Cabot, yes the cheese! Their local, New England Co-op has been supporting farm families since 1916. The Duffy's ice cream stand at Great Brook Farm is open mid-April thru Halloween. Serving 63 nutrient-rich flavors of hard ice cream, yogurt, sherbet and sorbet! Of course, the small farm animals can be visited year-round. Visit the sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, cows, pigs, and rabbits at Great Brook Farm with your family and spend a relaxing, educational afternoon with us.
